Panelists

Dr Pooe is the director and head of forensic services at SNG Grant Thornton.

He has a wealth of experience in forensic investigations, fraud prevention and information security. His experience includes working with law enforcement, attorneys and corporations locally and internationally in the fight against white collar crime. ​

He has over 17 years of forensic experience, which includes inter alia, working with regulators, assisting with the acquisition of digital evidence for legal hold and the eDiscovery process on matters relating to anti-competitive conduct, market manipulation and other forms of financial crimes. ​

He served 2 terms on the board of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE SA), and a further 2 terms as a Training Director, on the board of the ACFE UT (USA). Additionally, he served as a vice chairman of the ACFE Cyber Forum (SA). He is currently the Chairman of The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in South Africa and serves on the EDRM Global Advisory Council 2020.

Director of Forensic Technology and Dispute Services at Grant Thornton (Brazil). 12 years of experience in computer forensic examination, e-Discovery, forensically sound acquisitions of structured and non-structured data, data processing and organization using analytics techniques, forensic analysis of mobile devices and cloud environments, technical analysis of security incidents and cyber response, internal investigation, integrity and compliance procedures.

In the last years, Everson was responsible for managing complex technical investigations including international regulatory and disputes procedures involving cybercrimes, security incidents, asset misappropriation, corruption, conflict of interest and other matters. Currently he is an executive responsible for creation and implementation of new procedures for technical analysis and management of complex projects.

Everson was also a professor in postgraduate courses for four years, computer forensic analysis and cybercrime investigation, on University Mackenzie, known as a major educational institution in Sao Paulo.
